This is an end assignment of a student of the last course. The contact lens was attempted to be redesigned by making it locally thinner. However, the lens still should be able to withstand the expected loads. With COMSOL a contact lens was modelled with a rather simple 2-D model, as the contactlens is axisymmetric (rotational symmetry). By executing COMSOL analyses of different configurations, the stresses in the lens can be evaluated.
